Oof, May. You’re always a doozy. “December in a tank top” as a recent meme put it. I seriously want to cry uncle! to all of the end of year celebrations, soccer tournaments, practices, appointments, etc. but alas I cannot. We have been faithfully attending all of our commitments and staying up late into the night trying to catch up on work, emails, trip prep, etc. The schedule has been brutal and I’m in need of a much deserved break.
Fifi on his last day of his first year of preschool. He loves his “school day(s)” so much.
Enter Memorial Day weekend. Finally a break. I always get to this point in the year, and need a pause. So we’ve long stopped making any plans for the end of May.
The goal of this weekend is to make progress on my monster to do list, rest, and spend time with my family. So far I made a little progress on my to do list, including prepping our outside space for the summer, and I’ve watched the new Netflix show American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden which is sooo good. Today I’m hoping to finally finish my book The Women and also hosting my parents for a taco filled family dinner.
Our patio is getting ready for summer. I’m currently working on mapping out furniture and in two weeks our new bistro lights go up!
As I shift from Spring to Summer, I’m introducing brighter colors into my wardrobe. I’ve been living in my chartreuse sweater and cycling my bright pink items back into my looks. I’ve also been loving the soft greens from the La Ligne x Rue De Verneuil collab so much that I scooped up this bag and summer sweater for my time abroad.
My new office since all Felix and Ocean want to do all day is play outside.
And in case you missed it, my first ever interview is now live on The Art Table with
. I’ve been sourcing clothes for weeks in the lead up to our project and even though I’ve wrapped the project, I’m still finding so much that I love. Enough to put together a new mood board for us all to enjoy!I’m especially anxious to see this tee in real life as it has all my favorite colors in it.
I’m not the only one in my house excited for a few days off! That long weekend feeling!!!!
Hope you are enjoying some down time as well this holiday weekend xx
Channeling all my self control to not immediately hit purchase on that GREAT tee!!! Perfection.
